How a commission is made.

From first conversation to delivery
6–8 weeks
Begin a commission
  1. 01
    Enquiry & Qualification

We begin with a private conversation to understand the occasion, the person, and whether a commission is the right thing to make. No obligation.

    Week 1
  2. 02
    Deep Consultation

The real work of listening. What you wear now, what you want to be known for, the memory or moment behind the request. From this, your perfumer forms the direction.

    Week 1–2
  3. 03
    Composition & Variations

With the direction agreed, your perfumer composes and prepares variations: genuinely different expressions of your brief, made only for you.

    Week 2–4
  4. 04
    Living With It

The variations come to you to wear and live with, not to judge in a moment. Scent reveals itself over hours and days. You give it that time.

    Week 4–6
  5. 05
    Your Selection

You choose the one that is unmistakably yours. The chosen composition becomes your formula.

    Week 6
  6. 06
    The Final Composition

Your fragrance is made in full, composed to match your chosen variation exactly, finished, and delivered with its provenance.

    Week 6–8
  7. 07
    Kept For Life

Your formula is archived under your name. It can be made again, only ever for you, whenever you wish. A signature does not expire.

03 · The terms

Nothing is fronted, and nothing is hidden.

In two parts
½ + ½
Settled before it is made

The first part is settled before your perfumer begins, so the time and rare materials your variations require are covered. The second, once you have chosen your composition.

One considered round
I · II · III
Not endless revision

Your three variations, labelled I, II and III, are prepared with care from a deep conversation. The choice is between compositions that are already right, not corrections of ones that are wrong.

04 · The delivery

What arrives, and what remains.

What arrivesOn delivery

The finished fragrance, the variations it was chosen from, and the provenance card naming every material and where it came from.

What remainsFor life

Your formula, kept for life, so the fragrance can return whenever you want it, without ever being offered to anyone else.

Ask the House

Commissions begin at $4,500, quoted in your currency, and are priced to the composition they become: the materials, the time, and the rarity each requires. The figure is shared before any commitment, and settled in two parts.

Six to eight weeks for a personal commission, eight to ten for a home. The listening and the time you spend wearing the variations are not compressed.

No. Most people who write to us have never commissioned a fragrance. The consultation guides you through the language. You need a reason, not a vocabulary.

Privately by call, wherever you are, scheduled to your time zone, with your perfumer present. Correspondence is held in the language you write to us in.

Yes. Your formula is archived under your name for life and can be made again whenever you wish, only ever for you, and passed to those you name.

Yes, as a gift, to mark a union, or in remembrance. Where the recipient cannot take part, you wear the variations on their behalf, and the House will say plainly if a brief is too thin to compose from honestly.

No. The House does not copy commercial fragrances. It can explore why a structure appeals to you and compose something of its own from that understanding.

Commissions are accepted in limited number. A perfumer’s attention does not scale, and one is accepted only when the House can give it the time it needs.

No client is named or shown without consent, and a full formula is never disclosed. What is shared in an enquiry stays with the House.

You choose from variations that are already right rather than correcting one that is wrong. Nothing is produced in full until you have chosen, and nothing is owed until the direction is yours to approve.
